Message E85. They switch on the fly.

Note that this is an Imperial Gallon, not US Gallon so the number reflected may seem high by about 20%.

I tried a 2011 Ford Econoline Van with a 4.6 L V8 (city/hwy)
Gasoline: 18 mpg / 24 mpg
E85: 13 mpg / 17 mpg

Oh, then I tried a 2011 Ford Escape V6 4x4 (city/hwy)
Gasoline: 25 mpg / 32 mpg
E85: 17 mpg / 24 mpg

Oh, then I tried a 2011 Chevy Avalanche 4x4 (city/hwy)
Gasoline: 20 mpg / 30 mpg
E85: 14 mpg / 22 mpg

Oh, then I tried a 2011 Chevy Impala (city/hwy)
Gasoline: 26 mpg / 42 mpg
E85: 19 mpg / 31 mpg

Pretty much the same story for every Flex Fuel Vehicle.
